Black Olives Puff Pastry Star

Those amazing back olives puff pastries are quick and easy to make.

You just need two sheets of puff pastry and the black olives filling (or any other filling you desire).

You can vary the flavors by using other types of spreads like basil or tomato pesto, green olives spread... you could also use ham and cheese to stuff the doughs. Be creative!

You can also use regular puff pastry but also GF puff pastry if desired.

Ingredients
  • 2 discs of puff pastry of the same diameter, homemade or store bought
  • Black olives spread
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven at 350F / 180C
  2. take one disc of dough and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
  3. Spread the black olives spread on the disc of dough evenly up to the edges
  4. Place the second disc of dough on top
  5. With a pizza cutter, cut through the doughs from the edge towards the middle stopping about an inch from the center of the discs. Cut as many stripes as you want.
  6. Twist each stripes on itself a couple of times
  7. Egg wash
  8. Bake for 30 to 45min depending on the size of the discs.
  9. Let slightly cool before serving
  10. Enjoy!
